There's a territorial egoism involved in belief that I find easy to identify but difficult to explain. Everybody believes what they believe. We all know that. So why do we spend so much of our lives trying to convince each other that our beliefs are wrong? What I believe is right and what you believe is wrong. Why? What I believe is what I believe and what you believe is what you believe. Let's be content with that. If anything it inspires diverse conversation.
